i really appreciate it... i've been on somewhat of a design frenzy lately...

First of all, i'm sorry for my bad english.
I faved it because i like to read fantasy books. That's what this image reminded me at first. To me, this illustrates my interest on those books i read... As if the book was regurgitating the words (like birds do to their hungry cubs) XD
The overall typography work is very good.
The focused/unfocused details were very well done, since they add dimension and movement to the image.
I really like the color tones and contrast, specially on the book and the face. And the textures too - the book looks perfect and the paper texture on the face was also a very good move.
